Since the word has apparently now gotten out about Tom Cruise speaking at Yahoo!, I thought I’d share this picture of him visiting our humble research lab in Berkeley.

Any similarities to my body is strictly coincidental.

Hollywood Dogs

This weekend, I had the surreal experience of attending the launch party–in Beverly Hills–for The Hollywood Dog magazine.

A friend of mine knows the editor, so we figured it would be an amusing road trip down to Los Angeles to hit up a party filled with over-accessorized dogs. We were not disappointed.

Meta Photography

How referential can you get? This was taken during the CNM Commons groundbreaking ceremony during the 050505 conference this week at Berkeley. On the right, people taking photos of the ceremony with high-end digital SLRs and telephoto zoom lenses. On the left, my advisor, and PI on our Social Uses of Personal Photography research group, using her cameraphone to document the photographers taking their pictures. And then, of course, off-frame, me, also taking a photo of the whole thing. We’re so meta it hurts.
