Building a Better Mousetrap
This summer I read (like nearly every other New Yorker) Robert Sullivan’s Rats.
Perhaps it was this recent memory, combined with my research interests in the history of science and technology, that made me find this collection of antique mouse and rat traps to be quite fascinating, in a somewhat morbid way. My favorite is the Mousemobile (1903).
